Bloody rear is wearing out already! Think I've only done about 3,000 miles on it. Hmmm might have to go back to an 092 on the back...

3000mls from a 090 rear on a nc30 seems fairly good to me .but in saying that i run pilot powers on a modded cb13s dynoed at 121bhp 92ftlbs torque at rear wheel and get longer tyre life guess tyre technology has moved on a good bit 090s have been on the go for at least 10 years, think i read something on here about bt014s as an alternate to 090s/ bt92 unsure if they do them in an 18 inch rear tho might be the best choice for road use.

I get about 3000 on the ZX...
about 12,000 using BT45's on the 24 :D
But.. think about it this way.
You've used 90's and obviously know how they feel. You also know that the 92 is more of a touring tyre.
So would you rather have 8000 miles on a BT92 wondering if it's going to hold on every bend the same as the 90 did or 3000 on the 90 knowing exactly how it will feel :)
Not saying the 92 is a bad tyre, but if you get used to riding a sticky racing tyre and switch to a touring tyre and try to push it too hard you might find yourself off the bike... :/

have bought a spare rear wheel
one will have a 90 on it and the other a 92/something similar for longer (especially this time of year) trips
