This is what my RVF currently looks like, however i will be painting my wheels white and getting gold calipers:


I'll be going plain silver fittings, but what colour lines do you guys think are best? I'm thinking either the carbo-look, the denim or the transparent neon blue..

Would love to see some pics with braided lines fitted to the front end of a bike, other than clear.

if it was mine i would go for white wheels , gold calipers ( not to bright, a suttle shade of gold), red or blue hel lines to match the paint scheme,

The white or black wheels debate will always rage on.... I prefer white. If you do go white, don't paint them get them powdercoated, they're easier to keep clean.

I like gold calipers, they look bling. Just my opinion. The original gold colour of the later nissin calipers is hard (impossible?) to replicate with paint if you're intending to paint them.

As for brake lines, I don't think you can see them really in the larger scheme of things??

Thanks guys. yeah Cammo I can view the thread and post, just can't make a thread in that forum. I'm a fan of the white too so will probably go for that (although I stuck those rim decals on my black wheels and they look pretty trick. Will upload pics in the next couple days.)

I'm convinced on the gold as well. I think I was just being a tightass but after looking at just a couple pics I've fell in love with the gold calipers again. There's a pair on eBay at the moment which I think I may be able to pick up very cheap - we'll find out tomorrow morning I guess!

Also, regarding the visibility of the lines, they're not completely in sight. But I think they will definitely stand out.. especially if I go the translucent blue, which I think I probably will..

I have another question for you guys..

Here's a pic of CRM's RVF400 with white wheels. I think the white wheels look awesome (perhaps harder to keep clean than black, but I clean my bike 2-3 times a week anyway so it won't matter!)

I think, however, the original wheel spacer and nut on the rear look shit when contrasted to the freshly painted wheels on a beautifully designed bike. What do you guys think I could do with the rear wheel spacer and nut? Any idea where I could source some nice ones from, or perhaps I should get them properly polished or something when I get my wheels blasted and powder coated? Ideas??

OK, it's not an RVF, but my VFR had RVF forks and white wheels with black clipers, looked like this,

hmm that wheel nut cover looks quite tidy. Might splash out, spend $2 and buy one!

To be honest I still like the gold calipers, however in saying that your bike looks really clean. And i love the dual exhaust. Well done

IMO, depends on the colour of the rest of the bike.

I think gold works well in both examples, I definitely prefer them to OE black.
