Hi guys thought i'd put some pics up of my nc30 I got given the other day. shes been stood for 13 years after being stacked on a right hander. Cant believe my luck in finding this little beauty. Shes only got 9k on the clock, and beneith the damaged fairings nancy's quite a tidy little bike, enven the downpipes seem to be polishing up nicely. Bearing in mind shes been shown no love or been washed for all those years
Ive started striping her down to see what she needs besides the obvious fairing and peg damage. So far ive found no seized bolts or pistons anywhere, just a resin like substance that used to be go go juice in the carbs. I tell ya it took several cans of carb cleaner to shift that lot.
recon ill try keeping her standard and try to get her back on form for the spring
here's a pic the day i got her, parts were almost flying everywhere!
and a pic 2 hours after I got her

my luck continues, just managed 2 get the tank repaired and paint touched up for 13 quid, the dent is no more. Just had to pay for the paint and job done. kinda handy knowing a profesional painter, did a much better job than i could! New indicators and levers came in the post so mainly just waiting for the new fairing to arrive to get the main parts i need. wanna get out and give nancy more luv but got tiling 2 do instead. happy days!

You've done bloody well there mate! That's a real nice scheme too!
I noticed in the pic you have taken the top carb tray off!! Might be a bit of a bitch to get that back on without throwing carbs out of balance!
Good luck with the strip and rebuild, if you need anything just post a thread up!!

Looking good, you plan on keeping the overflow bottle or using a smaller racestyle?

Hi, regaurding the over flow bottle? are the race style bottles suitable for road use??? i have bought and had painted a tyga rc45 style rear fairing for my nc30.. looks great but is extremely tight to fit? will deffo crack/spoil fairing/paint job.. having to stretch and force down over my original over flow bottle, and also catches against the reg/rec on the other side,, have now moved reg/rec further back on sub frame! im just curious will a race style bottle be ok for road use. could anybody give me some good feed back on this
thanks

as long as there's coolant in there it'll be fine, just make sure u check the level regularly and u wont go wrong. if ur headgaskets ok and u aint got any coolant leaks the level shouldn't change much from when ur engine hot and cold.
