I'm looking at getting my Standard Showa Rear Shock (With Remote Res) serviced and rebuilt.

I came across a company through ebay Brook Suspension.

Does this price ok? Has anyone used them?

Can anyone recommend any others that are reasonable?

KTEC Suspension quoted me:

The cost of a shock service is £165.00 inc VAT. This includes oil, gas and labour but does not include any other service parts such as O-Rings or bushes etc, these would be fitted where necessary and charged for accordingly

I used brook for mine, no issues and the shock works great.

Alex good to hear someone has used them.

What was the turn around time?

Was there a noticeable difference in the shocks performance?

About a week. Definitely no more anyway.
Cost me about £150 with a new spring (powdercoated white), regassed, re-chromed rod, new seals and a clean up.
Well I also jacked the rear up at the same time and the confidence boost in corners is just un-believable.

Do it.

To me that seems a very reasonable price I think I'll go ahead with that. Had a look at your build thread and I love what you done to NC30 it looks like a fantastic bike. I think the spring looks pretty cool in White also. What do you require for the jack up mod?

Very straight forward fit, get your hands on a modded nc30 linkage or one from an rvf.
