Im not encouraging you to take out your restriction but if you must do it, do it yourself. Takes 10 minutes to take them out.

I really wouldn't know where to start with taking out the restrictor the garage say it's really hard and my couson who has done it on my bike before won't do it because it was too hard last time, its gonna cost a bomb to get it taken out but I just want it done without any hassle.

where abouts are you located, as im sure if there is a helpful member near you they could whip them out in 10 mins for a cup of tea and some biscuits.

bit far from me!

BUT

we can show/tell you how to do it,

1
remove rear seat panel
6 x allen screw/bolts,
disconnect the rear brake light and then slide it off,

2
undo the petrol tank bolt,
12 or 14mm bolt, cant remember as all my bolts are now stainless steel allen key type ;)
disconect fuel hose, and vacuum pipe from the fuel tap and the breather on the top
pull and wiggle tank towards the rear of the bike. and set the tank down gently onto a flat surface with the tap bit in the air.

3
remove the air filter with a phillips screw driver, 7 screws on the top, remove the air filter, then the base plate, 4 phillips screws in there,

4
remove the carb, youll need a long 300mm phillips screwdriver to under the 4 rubber clamps to the carbs (undo on the the carb side so when the carbs are removed the rubber are still attached to the engine,)
undo the throttle, choke, and idle adjustor cables, two throttle cables a 10mm spanner is required.
idle adjustor just needs uncliping, the choke just needs unscrewing with a phillips screwdriver.

lever the carbs from the back of the bike and once off youll see 4 restriction washers in the rubbers to the engine, rip them out and save them as people will pay upto about £30 on the second hand market

refiiting carbs is oposite of removal, insert thge front side of the carbs first then lever the back two in with a small screwdriver gently against the rubbers,

check CAMMO's guide for pics and further advice, may be worth having a check in the carbs whilst you have them off and give them a service following cammos guide.

good luck

Rick
