I wouldn't have though that a petrol filler cap would leak seeing as it is at the top of the tank. The only thing I can think of is maybe a blocked breather?

No its def the filler, Im getting a huge smell of petrol and when i was sealing the sludge trap on the tap i turned the tank upside down and fuel was pissing out the filler cap.
PS. MOT failed on the Lower headstock bearing is notched (very very hard to notice, even my local bike shop struggled to find it until it was pointed out where it was)

If the breather is blocked then fuel will come out of the filler cap.

you have 14 days to repair it and they should retest for free.
its not a big or expensive job either.

I did some research on this when my motor failed it's mot year before last and they charged me for the retest.
The retest period is 10 days, if you take the vehicle away from the MOT station, the tester is allowed to charage you upto Half of the original fee for a retest (although many places do it free / heavily discounted, but not all do)
If you leave the vehicle at the place for repairs they cannot charge you for the restest within the 10 days (which doesn't include bank holidays etc, so effectivly 2 weeks)
Best to check with the bike-place for retest fees.
Headstock bearings are cheap anyway... goto wemoto.com and get Tapered dneedlerollers
