Hi guys, thought I'd start a thread to keep track of any little bits of info for the NC30/35 that's either not readily available or not in the workshop manuals, things like what size socket you'll need for things, bolt sizes, any workshop hints, parts common to other bikes or even part numbers. To get started;

Rear wheel nut socket size - 36mm
Top yoke nut - 41mm
Oil filter (HiFlo brand) HF303 (same as R1, CB500, GPZ500S)
Front fairing 1/4 turn screw stem length - 17mm
Front brake discs - same fitment as VTR1000 Firestorm, CBR900 Fireblade, CBR400 NC23 Tri Arm, CBR400 NC29, RVF400 NC35, 90's CBR600F.
Front axle bolt socket size - 24mm
NC30 front caliper star bolts 3/8 ring spanner or socket
Fork diameter 41mm (for steering damper bracket :grin: )

Any other info rendered would be helpful, and I'll add it to the first post as soon as I can :)

Are you sure? I just measured one I took off the bike when I got it, and it has a 21mm stem :S now you say that, I do remember the proper honda one being referred to as stud, 4x16 (i think) I'll measure again to make sure, and will see if the 19mm ones off my nc23 will fit loosely or not reach at all :)

I've got 2 sets on my bikes and they are both 17mm pro bolt ones tried longer but they were really loose, the 17mm ones are nice and tight.

The standard 1/4 turn fairing bolts on jap bikes are actually Phillips head studs

:grin:

I'm fairly sure that the front wheel bearings are a pair of 6302 2RS type, but can't be 100% sure right now

To make it easier to read I'm putting all of the info in a word document and will upload it as a PDF file when it's a good size.

If you provide any bike specific info, can you just make sure you tell me what bike it's for please, that way I can make a note in the file. If it's something like the brake discs which apply to both bikes, don't make a note, any unmarked info will be taken as applying to both the '30 and '35.

Any parts people would like the numbers for that I should include?
