just wondering what revs you guys are doing at 70mph in top gear?

Not sure what the differences are between the NC23 and NC29 but my NC23 does 70MPH at about 7500 RPM. I don't know if this is standard though, as the NC23 is a new bike to me, still have lots of things I don't know, I'm sure I'll get the answers I'm looking for here though.

Simply, mine are around 10mph for every 1000rpm, so at 70mph its 7000rpm. Hills and winds can change this of course.

the nc30 is the same. 70mph is 7000rpm.

Well this is all good news as mine is also doing 7000rpm at 70mph. I was just a little concerned as it seemed a little high!

You haven't came off a lower revving bike have you? I know it took me a while to get over the mechanical sympathy of my high revving beastie as all my other bikes topped out around 8500rpm, best wear ear plugs, not only will it drown out the noise and protect your ears, you cant hear the screaming mangled cat as it does its buisness, quite normally.

These are short stroke engines remember.

I think I'll need a bit of time to get used to the 14k redline on the NC24 and making use of all those revs to get going

The Sprint has a 10k redline and bucket loads of torques

you are quite right! i have come from a 996 ducati which was litterally stalling in top gear at 70mph ha ha! i was just wondering as i haven't had a little screaming for years but love it to bits!!

Of course an indicated 70mph could mean a real speed of anything between 40 to 100mph!
