As above. I'm curious as to how much these bikes were originally sold for. Also, where was the VFR initially sold? I'm pretty sure the RVF was only sold in Japan, right?

The VFR400 didn't arriver officially in the UK until 1989 in NC30 guise. All NC21s and NC24s are imports. As for price, add at least a grand on to the price of a 600 sports from the time.

He's in Austrailia though.

I'm pretty sure the RVF was a JDM machine only, same as the NC21/24.

The NC30 had a locallised version for 3 years in the UK...

It cost new (£5899 gbp!) thats nearly $10,000aud.. and was more expensive than some of the 1000cc supersports bikes.

The UK bikes were available from 91 - 93'ish.

In march 1990 i payed £6.200. brand new.

In Australia all NC30s and NC35s are grey imports.

As for the price - compare the build quality to other production Hondas of the NC30 era and you get an idea.

Seen and touched a brand new 0kms NC35 for sale overhere back in summer 1996 at a grey importer, came direct from Japan out of crate. Price tagged was a massive 35.000 NLG (Dutch Guilders) and it equavalent to 15882.31 Euro! A used one low milleage was for sale at 29.995 NLG.
