Braided Lines

Hi all,
I've had some braided lines sitting around for a while now and decided to get them put on. Now I've had nightmares with setting up brakes in the past so I let a garage do it.
So I've got the bike back but the lines are set up so that one line is from the master cylinder to the right hand caliper and there is one line connecting the calipers over the mudguard. The brakes work well but I just didn't expect them to be set up like that. Anyone else got/seen a set up like that?

ive not seen a set up like that before, usually 2 line from the master going to each caliper (from my limited experience), but you said it works fine so thats a good thing ??

Most manufacturers will make an over the mudguard split system, but it is generaly seen as better to have a seperate line to each caliper.
Can you post some pics of the set up?
What make are the brake lines, and are the lines the same length as each other?

I have exactly the same set up on my CBR NC23, and a 2 line set up on my NC30, I've not noticed a difference to be honest, the NC23 has a tiny bit of give, but then again it hasn't been bled for about a year. I don't think it makes much, if any difference if bled properly

Not a set up I'd prefer but I'd say they'll be fine.

What make are the brake lines, and are the lines the same length as each other?
I'll take some piccies tomorrow if I remember. The lines are made by HEL. One line was a bit shorter than the other so maybe the garage had no choice but to set them up that way.
TBH I havent noticed a big difference with the feel of the lever and is not as 'firm' as I'd imagined with braided lines so I thought it might be the way its been set up. I was told by the garage that it'd feel spongey for a while before the pads get bedded in. I don't know what to believe when it comes to garages.

Sounds like a Triumph setup to me. I've also seen this arrangement on older Kwaks.

they do this on the new triple speed to find it a little odd,
surely the pressure is going do be higher on the one and less of the other?

Its like it on my 2009 ducati streetfighter.Down to one on the left and over the wheel to the other side.The pressure should be the same no matter how you run them.
