I cant see it doing anything tbh, even if it works i reckon your bike would be down on power.

If I had to hazard a guess I would say it is a 'smoothing' capacitor (from it's size maybe 1/4-1/2 a Farad) It would in theory result in a 'smoother' 12V supply for the electrics but how much (if any) advantage that would gain is questionable at best

If they worked you can be sure they would be factory fitted.
