Hi all.

Not long had this nc23. Not been out on it yet as my bike test is not till next week but I have started it up a few times and I have noteced when I rev it up it's is a bit slow on the come down. I get a prity strong smell of petrol as well Evan when the choke is off. Could this be part of the problem. Or mabey it just needs a good ride to clear out the cobwebs.

Thanks
Tim

Check your pilot screw settings - revs hanging around above idle before dropping to idle is a sign of running lean. Does it get better as the engine heats up?

um i wouldant say it dose. say i rev it to 8000 it drops down to idle speed but not as fast as i would expect. could it have anything to do with my throtal cable as when the bike is not running it dose stick a lil.

Possibly as others have said above..

or could also be the carbs not seated corretly - this would explain the smell of petrol. After checking the above take your carbs off - inspect the rubbers and also ensure all the screws and bots are in good condition and seat correctly.
