Hello all! Been lurking for a bit but then finally found a bike so I thought I better log on..First NC30 for me and very rare to see one on the streets here in Canada (Vancouver) since they were never imported here...just the RC30 but they cost a $$$$ and one arm two legs..if you can find one! If it (bike, car whatever) was never imported it can't be until 15 years has passed so I imagine I will see more around year by year...Bike is in decent shape for 1992 and it runs like a peach :D of course I am partial to Honda as you can see in my mx race bike..surprizing how similar the frame and parts are...so I have started the strip down but it is going to take forever...just a quick thanks to all you because I knew exactly what to look for when buying it..very informative and helpful posts here. I am in desperate need of one of those Abba stands! Not to mention those stupid castle nuts . You think you guys have it hard getting parts? Bugger me!




First up is fixing the fairings after the previous owner dropped it....i'll post more one day when work gets done but i'm no kermit or some of the other here with what seems like endless time

Welcome to the site, you've made a great choice. Parts in UK are readily available, not sure what it'll be like in North America.
Abba stands are very popular but I prefer a rear paddock stand and an under yoke front stand. The castle nut sockets are available on ebay or from Rick Oliver on here.

It's just the funky yellow matt messing with your eyes olihurst..I wanted the grey all round but thats what happens when shopping with the 5yr old daughter :D

Fortunately I have my trusted uncle in the UK rounding up some odds and ends....

Invisble beer crate oli, you can see the indents in the matting. I used to have one but I can't find it.

Ah I see, I brought an invisible beer crate on ebay the other day but sent it back as it was empty!

Most sellers on ebay UK will post world wide (but be careful you dont get stung on the postage costs).

congrats on the bike. I am itching to get one too. But as you said, they are extremely rare in Canada. I live in Toronto and there's a couple of importers, but in my opinion they want way too much, given the age of the imported machines. I am looking at 4K CAD for 90 and that's not even close to nice condition. So I am thinking to arrange the purchase somehow directly from Japan. I'd might take two bikes, thus will have some parts to throw around and hopefully one good bike would come out of it, for almost the same money. Will see.
