Throttle ON/OFF Clunk? Worried!

Post by mattjc »

Been happening for a while now, but while riding the 'other' NC30 today it doesn't feel quite right, it feels as if something's shifting when you throttle ON and OFF and makes/feels a Clunk - first thought was engine mounts and I've checked and they're all there and done up tight, so any ideas what else it could be?

Thanks again

Matt

Very much doubt it would be this..........NC30 doesnt have cush drive rubbers!!

As mentioned, check your head bearings, sit on bike with front brake on hard and push down hard on the bars a few times, see if you can hear/feel knocking. Or get the front end in the air and pull on forks for same effect.

Is your chain too tight, too loose??

Thanks for that, I will check the head bearings - chain seems to be okay though.
