hi guys.
as some of you will already know, ive just passed my test and got my nc24 on the road.
im having lots of fun and pleasure ridding as well as the commute.
It appears the previous owner has removed the baffles from the exhaust and it sounds great, but does wear you down on a long ride, also the neighbours think im a nutter as it sounds like im doing 100mph as i pull up outside my house at 15mph!
how can i make the exhaust quieter??
ive done a search on google for baffles but dont know what im looking for..
anybody point me in the right direction before i go deaf??

Thanks
Suzbug :ugeek:

Does it have the standard can / link pipe on it still?

The standard can is intricate inside, it'd be hard work to mod that. It's not a striaght baffle but a series of passageways. (hence why it weighs a ton)

Theres a standard exhuast here.

Usually there quiet as mice.

ive been told its a race can and the baffles have been removed.
im at work at the moment so cant look at the ebay link (IT dept has banned ebay, bug**rs!) so will look at that latter.
would deifnatley like it more quiet, think my friendship with my neighbours could wear thin after a couple of months..

Ah I see.

Well that link I posted you is to a standard NC24 exhaust can, quite rare that its in decent condition too.

Fit that and you wont' have any problems with the neighbours :-)

Since the can and link pipe is integrated, swapping them over (for trackdays etc) is a metter of undoing the exhuast bracket (1 bolt) and undoing the clamp on the colletorbox. 2 bolts.

doddle really :-)
