Hey guys,
Can you use the front headlift stands with the NC35? If so, what size pin does it need?

Should I bother getting a front headlift stand, or should I just get a normal front stand? I will be using it for cleaning the wheels, removing the wheels and working on the bike..

Can you pick the bike up with a single sided swingarm stand if the bike is resting on its side stand? Or do you need someone's help to hold the bike upright?

It all does depends on which style of lift stands you want to use/purchase.

Correct pin size of the Bike-Lift front headstockstand (type 11) I now use is 20mm diameter, to lift up from under the lower triple clamp. It gives usefull space to take the front wheel out and if needed also the complete front forks.

Rear paddockstand of Bike-Lift (type 16) can be used to lift up the rear wheel of the bike all by yourself, start from bike on it's sidestand, grab the rear end of the paddockstand and just put some bodyweight on the paddockstand. All goes as is.

Do a search on Bike-Lift, it is Italian made. Front headstockstand comes with 6 different pin sizes included (varies from 13,15,17,18,20 and 27mm sizes. Rear paddockstand does require client correct pin size when you order.

Not sure if you can have them in Oz.

(by the way...I use abbastand for the major maintenance work which is great tool to use).

Looks like Abba stands and bike-lift stands aren't available in Australia, but thanks for letting me know the pin sizes :D

Regarding the front stand, I will not be working on the forks, just removing the front wheel for when I go to get it painted white. Will the front headlift stand still be better, or should I just go for one that picks up under the forks?
