For those here that have RVF400's, can you guys tell me how many k's you're getting per tank and what sort of riding style you're using? Also, stock gearing?

Also, looking at buying an RVF400 but the rego sticker doesn't say LAM.. Under bike model it says RVF96A.. Maybe RTA has just fkd up? Last week I went to see an RVF which had vfr495a, which was weird too.. Maybe because they're a grey bike they're not on RTA's file so they just put them under whatever bike sounds close..?

Just did a REVS check and the bike has no money owing and has never been written off etc. It is definitely an RVF400 94 model.

Also, another question.. There are no RVF400 exhausts on eBay. The only ones I know of are the Tyga ones. Are there any well-known pipes for NC35's familiar to you guys on the forums? I would love an Akra pipe or Leo Vince. Perhaps there is a bike which has a similar pipe and can be easily modded to fit? I'm not after added performance, just a nice sound (and look).

Apparently the little Tyga maggot sounds good. What about the carbon Tyga cans?

Also, is it worth spending the money for the headers as well?

Leo Vince bolt-on end cans for the RVF400 in either carbon or alloy finish can still be ordered new. Not sure if you have a sales agent in Oz?

Depends on what you want. If you are on the hunt for more noise compared to standard can, then replacement of just the can is ok. And if looking for more performance you may be looking into full-systems including replacement of the headers too, but this involves more then just simply putting a complete system on...

The road authorities screw up very often, I wouldn't be too worried.

Some of the tyga mufflers are nice, forget the maggot though - way too loud for road use!

There's a thread in the V4 section, a sticky I think, that shows all the different exhausts. It might be in the gallery.

EDIT: This must be Leo's main website. It lists 2 exhausts but no price is given. It doesn't allow you to play the sound either (most popular bikes allow you to play the sound with the pipe fitted). And there aren't any videos on youtube either.. Perhaps Tyga exhaust is the way to go.. It's pretty cheap..
