Front Sprocket Question
Hey all,
Yes I have another question.....
Ive got some new sprockets and a chain coming from Talon! However Iv'e just taken the front sprocket cover off and i'm quite surprised in what i've seen...
There is no nut on the front sprocket drive shaft!!! Now there is no threads so I am presuming that it's the norm on this bike however it was still a bit of shock. Every other bike iv'e worked on has had a locking nut torqued up to a billion Nm and then a locking tab washer peened over onto it. This just has a circlip!!!
Anyway if this is the norm then fine, however there is about a 1mm-2mm sideways play along the shaft. This definately can't be right can it? any advice welcome. Also just to be on the safe side does anyone know where I can find a new circlip for it?
Cheers, Chris.

Re: Front Sprocket Question
Hi Chris,
Yep they are just held on by the circlip and generally have a little play in them. The circlip will be metric in size and available from local bearing stockests otherwise its the local Suzi dealer.
