These discs ( pics below ) came with a pair of nc29 wheels a bought from ebay. The wheels n tyres are all good and I thought these wavy discs looked pretty cool. So I tried fitting the front wheel to my 23 ( i know it's heavier - before anyone comments ) and found the callipers wouldn't locate with their mounting holes, I then realised the discs must be slightly bigger than the OEM items but they still have the same centre mounting plates under closer, inspection after I removed the discs from the wheel, you can see someone has 'made' these discs.

They're 4mm wide ( OEM width 3.5mm, as stamped on the centre ) and approx 314mm in diameter ( measured with crappy tape measure ) so what could they be used for????

+ are they safe to use?

and does anyone want to swap some cash for them as I don't have an application for them?

what sort of money were you looking for ?

What application do you have in mind for them?

Not sure if this helps but i know stealth products sell outer discs replacements (Bobbin kits) so you keep your OEM centre and replace just the outers.

Cool - I figured that it might be the case that you could buy the wavy discs and fit them to your own centres, but these appear to have been forced to fit as the OEM centres are only 3.5mm in depth where they meet the discs. I assumed someone had 'butchered' two sets of discs to make a single set.... if that makes any sense
They're also a larger diameter so they don't allow the standard callipers to fit using a nc29 wheel on a 29 or a 23.
Which is odd because they were fitted to 29 wheels as I bought them
Did early 900 fireblades have larger diameter discs than the 400 cbr's?

A little time & cutting gave me the above, careful not to cut too close to other holes, all cuts marked out with a template:

A little filing and a wash, back on the bike with some new sintered pads - Proper Stoppers!!

Have another good set of uncut front discs upstairs in case I get any probs or anyone kicks off at the next MOT (06/09...) - very happy with the end result!
