NC29 owner(s) in Wiltshire please help

Thanks to those who offered to help me and GruntyGiggles out with our downpipe problem but we decided in the end to go for a set of stainless new ones.
They turned up today, and wouldn't you know it, not a fantastic fit although they did go in in the end.
Unfortunatley I had a problem when putting the can back on. The bike came with a Quill can (to be honest I'm not 100% sure it's the correct can for the bike anyway), anyway I can't get the can on the new pipes and attached properly, the new pipes appear to be slightly longer and possibly at a different angle.
Was wondering if anyone in Wiltshire would be able to lend us (I am aware of my lack of presence on the forum so understand that there could be a trust issue here) or come around with a standard can to ours in Lacock.
Basically I would like to offer up a standard NC29 can to the pipes to see if it fits correctly, I want to get hold of the suppliers but would prefer to find out if they fit correctly using a standard NC29 can first as the issue could just be due to incorrect kit that came with the bike.
Cheers
Dan
