I have polished the frame section under the tank on my nc35 and was wondering if anyone can tell me whats the best way to protect it now.Do I spray laquer it or just wax it.If I laquer it is there a special laquer?I also live on the coast so think it needs a good protecting finish.
Just like to say thanks for the help so far and am still trying to post pics.Getting there now though.
Thanks
Phill

i use brasso or autosol and then cotton cloth to buff it up.
i was told once that autosol and wire wool was good and work well together but i really dont want to try until i get some scrap alloy!

the best way is to anodise it, but this would not be cheep, there is a lacquer you can get from a car paint suppliers it it used on alu wheels and is self etching I think its about £25 per litre (I'v not tried so if you use it let us know if its any good

)
