I don't think I've been more than two weeks without at least riding to the shops since I was 17.

I must admit, after the last holiday where I parked the bike at the airport (free innit) and then went back to it after err 10 or 12 nights, I almost dropped it trying to do a u-turn. It was a full lock u, I was tired, and did have lots of luggage on the bike, but even then. They say it's like riding a bicycle - I say piffle. Take it easy until you're properly back in the swing.

Yeah, you kinda feel vulnerable and exposed after a couple of years without riding. Also after several years of trailie riding then back to a road bike, i couldn't hardly turn the bike in corners, i felt like i was gonna fall off, really strange because it's a different style of ride with a 21 inch front trail bike wheel and a 17 inch road wheel. Anyway maybe it's just me getting older i dunno.

changing styles of bike is really confusing! my diversion broke down, and I borrowed my housemate's SRAD - I came out of our road and had to do an emergency stop as the bike just wanted to go straight on. Who ever heard of pushing down on handlebars to steer?!
