29 Finally done

Well after a year and a half she is just about done her transformation. When I first got her she was in Baaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddd condition to say the least. Who ever had her before me dogged the shit out of her and didn't look like they ever changed the oil. Wiring harness had all kinds of ghetto jumps in it, everything that was rubber was dry rotted.

So me and my Dad slowly tore her down and built her back up again.. First came the engine, which was in the worst condition my mechanic friend said he ever seen in an engine, and he's been doing this 15 years. Once she got freshened up then it came to the transmission which I was assed out on except GF Racing came to my rescue. Got that squared away, had everything back together and still she didn't run. Called Graeme and asked and he told me what was wrong, got that fixed. Then got her running put her in gear..... Kill.... Couldnt figure out what it was but I had a sneaky feeling that it was ME. I had gutted some of the wiring harness and must have clipped something important. Got a new wiring harness, now she runs great..

Sooooooooooo after 2 engines, 3 wiring harnesses 3 ECU's, a ton of other crap that was dry rotted, she is finally together and running.

Mods as of now are.... Which I'm not done

08 CBR600RR front end------------------- (the stock one was crap and I picked this one up for the same price as it would have cost me to repair that one with the brakes and everything

03 R6s shock resprung with Eibach spring
Corece rear sets
Morwaki Full system

And 03-04 600RR race glass fitted. Tail looks like shit but I'm workin on that now

Her she is when I first go her.

And now

And Yesterday.

Having never ridden a 400 on the track (because they don't exist around here) I can honestly say I was suprised and pleased. Kept up with SV's so I'm happy about that from the engine point of it. I was on some old ass tires so I couldnt really push her but the only complaint I have is the damn seat to peg height!! It's like 10 inches with the rearsets!! Might have to lower those back down.

Well done, all the hard work looks to have paid off. Know what you mean about the up/back rearsets, quite uncomfortable. But i kept grounding the standard height sets so not sure whether to fit them back on either. Ive got the cbr600rr rear on my track bike, comes further forward than that. Thought mine was the 03 version too?

How did the 600rr forks feel?

Chris.

The front felt awesome! But the shock is off of a R6 not a CBR600rr.

Well fellas as luck would have it because of these little keeper things on the rear sprocket hubs (not sure what to call them they are these raised things that hold the sprocket from rotating) soooooo the rear spockets had to be bought from GF racing in a 520 pitch. Oh and a 03-05 R6 front sprocket will work with a spacer.

As far as the jetting goes, I have the filter removed, 112 Keihin jets, with the two front intake boots removed and taped off to change air flow amount..
