NC35 HRC Carb setup

Hi all,
I am planning on putting RO's HRC Carb kit in my race bike, and wondered if i should run the air scoop under the carbs along with the airbox lid with the extended snout?
Or should i run the airbox without a lid at all?
The Carbs i am using now are 35 carbs, but i am building an HRC spec nc30 set too.
Royster gave me some very good advice that i am going to follow, but am after others experiences of this type of set up, so i can get things as sorted as i can before the bike gets on the dyno.
Any advice much appreciated

I wouldn't bother running the air tray if you're going to use the hrc airbox lid (best option) on the nc35 carbs. The airbox inlet picks up cooler so heat from the engine isn't a big deal. The carb settings in the hrc manual is a good place to start for initial dyno run.

I would use the air tray on the nc30 hrc setup. For the nc30 carbs you will need to modify (restrict) the air jets for the setup to work properly.

The hrc velocity stacks do this job on the hrc setup (bad pic sorry, will get a better one over the weekend):

If you're not using the hrc stacks you will have to restrict them in another way. Easiest is to tap the air jets to take somethinig that can be screwed in (old pilot jets work well), this can be drilled out to the applicable size (approx. 2-2.5mm).

I would prefer to use the HRC velocity stacks but they seems as rare as rocking horse shit :(
Can you get them in Aus?

HRC manual. Are they available still for an NC35? Or a copy would be just as helpful.
