Hello all, purchased Tyga fairings for my missus' rvf. In the process of prepping right now and have been sanding them down forever.

Question is how do they come? In Gel coat or white primer? Is it ok if I removed some of the gel coat?

I thought I was supposed to to use 400-600 grit before applying primer but someone suggested 180?

I'm a bit confused as I'm not familiar with gel coats:)

Thanks

I'm new to the world of spraying too but I have just sprayed a Tyga seat unit, they arn't painted when they come from Tyga so you just need to make sure there's no wax left on them from the mold and there's no rough bits etc.

I gave it a sanding all over then hit it with an acid etch primer, two coats of paint later and it's looking OK, needs another rub down and a better coat but it's OK for my first attempt!!

the top coat of TYGA panels is a primer so you are ok rubbing it down
