Finally got my nc30 motd and on the road after it sitting for 8 years, had an awesome first ride with a few mates, and came back to the bike the next day to find one of the fork sliders covered in oil! So, new seals purchased, fork removed from bike, I just can't budge the hex bolt that goes up under the bottom of the fork, bolt doesn't seem corroded, so am I missing something (left hand thread),etc? Even tried an impact driver and still no joy. Anyone else has a similar problem? They are the later type forks, if that makes a difference. Cheers guys!

would ensure you've got a good fitting long 6mm allen key or allen key socket first then give it a good tap before attempting to turn it if you round it your really donald ducked , its got threadlock on it and should free up with a healthy crack providing you use a good fitting tool properly seated first its a normal thread anti-clockwise to loosen good luck

yep yep, as been said its threadlocked and normal threaded. they can be a right PITA to unscrew but you'll get there

Thanks for the replies peeps, finally managed to crack the little bugger off, had to hammer an imperial size allen key into it as the head was chewed. Oh well, all good fun
