hi ive got an nc30 thats allways had a problem selecting between 1st and 2nd gear gettin stuckin in neutral until you click it up again, but last year i bought some new boots which i struggled to change gear in and it started gettin stuck between other gears at high revs until you give it a extra knock up, could it be anything to do with having a tight spot on the chain or a worn clutch?

Let's hope not! Have you checked that the linkage to the rearsets is aligned properly?

I had this problem with my 30 gearbox. When i took it apart i found part 34 on the aattached pic had come out of it's slot (due to wear i guess) and it was not liking changing gear from 2 - 3 and 5 - 6 .
I put my 35 gearbox in and it is now fine.
:peace:

I still dont know, the engine ain't completly back together, the gear box didn't have that much wear on it, but i still replaced it with a later one that had done less miles, i also put new clutch plates in even though the old ones wernt too bad, i've got a feelin that alot of it was down to the chain that had a bad tight spot, it seemed to jump out of gear alot coming out the mountain at cadwell,

Hey, im not really to sure what it could be.
my bike was a bit naff in gear changes then i changed the clutch cable,
i found that it had stretched a bit too much
im probably wrong but i normaly start looking at simple things like that
