Most fun/£
My NC30 is currently totally standard apart from braided lines, an ART can, and some of the material on the airbox "scoop" removed.
What mods do you guys recommend that offer the best value for money?

Is there much that can be done suspension-wise on a budget? Or am I looking at shelling out for a new shock at the least?

Re: Most fun/£
Later type remote res shocks can be rebuilt, K Tech charge £80 ish i think, Front end can be rebuilt for £100 with stiffer springs. You could get a stiffer spring for the rear too for around £30.

Sort your gearing out for less than £100 with new chain and sprockets. Lose a tooth on the front and go up on the rear by 2 or 3. You'll lose top end speed but gain acceleration.
How hard can it be?

I have actually just moved back to the standard gearing from a -1 on the front setup, and quite like it.mick.mh2racing wrote:Sort your gearing out for less than £100 with new chain and sprockets. So you think I could get it nicely sorted for £210? Does that include it being setup to my weight, riding style etc?Drunkn Munky wrote:Later type remote res shocks can be rebuilt, K Tech charge £80 ish i think, Front end can be rebuilt for £100 with stiffer springs. Sounds like genuine value for money actually.

If you don't mind getting your hand dirty, I'd say do the forks yourself, I really enjoyed doing the ones on my 30.
RickOliver on here does a kit which includes (well it did when I did mine) a syringe so you don't overfill the oil! A great little kit. Around £85 too!

As good as a pro setup? Does it come with different spring weights/oil weights to suit?mattUKSP1 wrote:If you don't mind getting your hand dirty, I'd say do the forks yourself, I really enjoyed doing the ones on my 30.![]()

No just 1 weight of spring and oil, im sure rick will advise you if it was right for your weight but im 11 stone and fitted one to a NC35 and its was spot on, if anything a little on the hard side but thats how i like it.
