Starting problems again

Yesterday took the bike out. Got home and the battery was flat. Charging system i thought. So volt meter comes out and i take the following readings:
Ign off 14v, idle 13v, 5000 rpm 13v,
Checked the reg rec connector red and green wires 12.2 v. All yellow wires reading 1.2 ohms.
3 yellow Alternator wires at the plug are 1 ohm. So then i decided to connect it all back up, switched ign on and it started fine but died when revved. Now the ign lights aren't even on on the dash. The battery still reads 13v, any ideas?

Jo you deffo have a bad earth on that bike of yours.
With all the electrical trouble you have had, why not reloom the bike ?
it takes around 2 hours max to do and once all the bodyworks off its quite simple.
I know i have around 3 good looms, if you need one just say.

I re loomed it 2 years ago with one from Rick hoping it would help to no avail.
I'm wondering if its the ignition switch cos it is totally dead, no lights on dash. I don't know what to do with it.

You should ont have resistance in the stator/genny if I remember?
It should be a zero resistance loop through the coils..
12.2 at the battery via the reg rec is poor too -
What are you getting using AC volts out of the stator/genny? The curse of Jo's generator strikes again?

Tested the alternator wires on voltage and ohms cos don't know really what i'm doing, but there's no readout. It stays blank. I'm at a total loss what to do.

Ign off 14v, idle 13v, 5000 rpm 13v,
Thats wrong, should be 12.5v off, 13.5v at idle and 14.5v at 5000 rpm. Your charging system is not working by the sounds of it.
The reg/rec should be kicking out the voltages listed above but as you say the yellow wires on the alternator are not giving the readings they should your alternator is probably fried.
but there's no readout. It stays blank
The alternator is a 3-phase unit, each wire should have a small resistance to the other wires, they are all connected together at a star point in the alternator iirc. If your not getting identical readings for resistance ( Ohms ) between each yellow wire then your alt is dead.

Ok. So why is the entire electric system dead too? Alt doesn't usually take out the ignition.

Alternator doesn't take out the ignition as it runs off the battery. That could be a bad ground at the battery or frame, blown fuse, dead starter solenoid, dead start button etc.
My last post should have read charging system NOT working. Sorry.
Have you tried checking the fuses are intact and then taking voltage readings at the fuses and solenoid to see if you have power getting from the battery to the rest of the bike ?
I was getting funny voltage readings and it turned out to be a bad connection at the battery, the lugs were not good even though they looked spot on, new lugs crimped on and it was sorted.

All fuses ok. Checked earlier. Think the solenoid's ok cos it was clicking when i started the bike. However i will check that tomorrow.

Is your neutral light on the dash coming on ?
EDIT
Just read above that its not. That light is supplied directly from the battery but is terminated at the starter solenoid i think.
