What they worth

Post by Spike16 » Sat Apr 17, 2010 6:26 pm

got a set of nc30 carbs that iv totally rebuilt cleaned up replaced seals and balanced, very good condition only issue is one of the float bowl bolts has sheared off but it still seals with the other two, just wondering what they are worth? not sure what the jetting is so that will need to be confirmed. or is it worth keeping them as spares for the road and race bikes?

between 20-50 quid i'd say.

Shops / breakers / ebay etc prices vary so you might get more or less.

I'd just keep them, worth more as spares to yourself.. :)

Also, balancing needs to be done with carbs on engine as it works on vaccumn (generated by the suck of the engine) different engines vary.. do to wear characteristics.. fortuantly Honda's dont change that much so they should be pretty balanced.. but for fine tuning it's always wise to re-check them if there going on a different engine.
