My ears are burning! Forgot about the thread
Here's the lowdown from the data I could find.
SS needles: 8ZF and 8ZG are both 42.7 mm from end to end (not including the 0.5 mm machined bit on the end). They have slightly different tapers and diameters though.
TT F3 needles: 8ZJ and 8ZK the same length as above but with different tapers - I can't find any diameters for them at the moment.
I've got out the secret HRC parts box in front of me, and there is a shed load of different needles in there. I might have to get the micrometer out and finish that thread one day..........

i'm popping into the post as you're speaking about HRC needles
was wondering : do you usually use same needles all around ? or different type front vs rear ? (8zf / 8zg)
thx

Whatever works for you, Oki. I use the same all around, but with different shimming front to rear. I'd say it's pretty dependant on the bike and mods you've got going on.
