ive just bought a motrax kms to mph converter, put it on and my speedo stopped moving at all, ive checked with it not connected to the clock and the pin rotates fine, but when plugged it it still reads 0, take it off again and just use the cable and its fine, am i missing something im supposed to be doing other than just screwing it in between cable and clocks? or have i got a dud one somehow (would have been so much easier to just get an overlay)

well i changed my clocks and the new ones dont have any markings for mph, so i just picked up the converter whilst i was at the shop getting an inner tube for a mates crosser, im just sick of guessing at what speed im roughly doing especially with all the cameras round here

is it fitted the right way round? shot in the dark, do these only screw in one way?
never used one so i dont 100% know..

if its a NC29.. buy a white MPH dial face for it off ebay £12 off seller gary chadbond.

yeah they only go on one way, at one end of the cable, i was pretty sure i fitted it ok, i had thought about the dial face but i dont like the idea of pulling the guts of the clock out if i can avoid it, just pulled it off at the mo, as im busy prepping my panels for a spray at the mo, still cant decide on a colour yet, satin black and red vs yellow and black, decisions decisions.....

Sounds like you have a faulty converter mate.

like as already said possibly a faulty converter..they have tiny gears inside them one is probably slipping.

It might be worth trying it on a different speedo. A friend bought one to go on her bandit and it didnt work. we put my converter on her bike and it worked ok.

Her converter on my bike worked ok too.

take it back + recite. get it changed.

Just be thankful you actually have a working speedo LOL

Mines just broken and the cause is because those kph-mph converters make the cable longer, put a kink in it and then they snap easier. Get a refund on the converter and just but the kph-mph clock face off on eBay instead. Thats what I intend to do when my speedo works again
