used the bike all day Friday with no probs, got covered in shit so I washed it last night and hosed it off then dried off.

This morning got it out of garage, started first time as normal and rode it 20 odd miles to work without so much as a hiccup.

Went to start it at 5pm....wont start! engine turns over but its not even trying, doesnt even cough or splutter. I blathered it in WD40, kill switch, ignition swith and coils but didnt have any tools so locked it up at work. It was parked slightly nose up, uphill at work. All the lights, horn, indicators etc all work ok too

Very strange, has anyone had any issues with the kill switch or igniton swith or anything else after washing it??

Help would be very much appreciated

Thanks in advance

have you checked to see if there is a spark at the plug leads, fuel to the carbs etc.

Theres fuel to carbs - I could smell it! but I didnt have any tools so I couldnt check for spark. I would have thought that if it had been a coil problem it would have attempted to run

Like I say it ran beautifully this morning. Good thing is its now tucked up in a very warm £5million pounds fireplace showroom on the bosses best rug, lol

Mate it may sound silly but do you have any petrol?(because you can smell the petrol but it might not be there)

Checked all the silly ideas, petrol, kill switch and fuses under seat.

Went in to work early yesterday - started first time! let it get warm then switched it off. Blathered ig switch, kill switch and CDI connections with WD40 to be safe.

Went back to it couple of hours later - wont start again. Just turns over with no attempt to fire. I put a RO earth kit on last month so not an arthing issue!

What about the main fuse on the starter solenoid? (Not sure if it would even turn over though if that was gone?!)
HT leads?! Need to check if there's a spark. Not sure where to go next... :?
