Without question one of the best mods from a practical point of view is to fit a quick release fuel coupling makes the job a doddle, on and off in seconds and no scrapped knuckles/blood/swearing.

I dont use the front rubber, just foam strips on the frame spares aswell as the rubber cushions and bolted at the back. Ive put a strip of rubber on the front tank mount so it sits tight against the frame.

On the racebike I don't use any side tank rubbers, I have other rubber pads glued onto the frame to stop any tank flex (hrc mod?). On the roadbike I use a piece of cut fuel hose along the ridge in place of the front and side rubbers. Both work a treat.
Never any dramas removing tanks or putting them back on.

What about replacing the front spark plugs with the rads in place?
