Surface discharge plugs

I have a set of R847-10 spark plugs I was planning on putting in my race bike for my first race.
I just googled them to check the price....holy crap.
They're nearly too expensive to put in.
The bike is flying with the regular plugs.
Not sure how much of a difference they'll make.
I have a stock RVF motor with HRC spec NC30 carbs.

Still though, they are trick and trick is good.
Any opinions?

$20 each?

When the £ was strong against the dollar they wern't much more expensive thank stock plugs in the UK.

I don't think you'll notice any difference. The spark patters supposed to be slightly better and there designed for running flat out.. they might foul up on street use.

Doesn't hurt to try them :)

I did get them cheap from the US.
UK prices seem to be around 30 pounds + VAT.
They're for my race bike so they'll be flat out most of the time.
Cheers for the input.

Yeah I use them (with hrc carbs like yours), no dramas at all. I think Mruhel does also. :ugeek:

Not 100% sure on the surface discharge part, apperently they're less prone to fouling. A good thing when the carbs are running a large amount of fuel through them!

They're cheapest to buy in the US.
