No neutral???

Post by jordan-8710 »

Hi all. :peace:
I have a problem with my nc30. The other day I went to take it for a run but it wouldnt turn over. I noticed that it isnt registering that its in neutral even though it is, so the starter motor isnt turning. I was thinking it could be a wiring fault after sitting through the winter but im a bit worried cuz it took a bash on the gear selector (my f**kin dog knocked it over) .
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks Jordan

Howdo - welcome to the site.

Sounds like you might have a loose neutral wire - on the right hand side and rear of the motor - if this is loose you won't get neutral light.

Also, try pulling the clutch in and see if the starter will work.

Doesn't sounds terminal anyways :o

We'll get you sorted.. :geek:

tryed with the clutch in but wouldnt turn. I managed to get the bike started by bumping it then it seemed to go into neutral fine, then when i turned the ignition off problem came back. I, go and try that and let you know

Nice one that seems to have done the trick. The terminal was all corroded so I just gave it a cleanup. Just got new discs, the wheels powdercoated and wrapped in michelin pilot road 2s. dyin to go for a run but just started raining
