sprung exhaust systems.

Ive just fitted my Ethos race system with a mercury twin stack to my NC30. Its a fully sprung system, but one or two joints are blowing near the link pipes. Ive ordered some slightly smaller springs to tighten them up a bit to see if that helps.
Just wondered if this was common on sprung systems or do people use sealant or some other technique on the joints to eradicate every blow?
Thanks
Kris

I've never sealed mine - they kind of sort themselves out. I do use uber strong springs x 2 and give them a tap.
It might just need bedding in

i used fire putty exhaust sealant , just a smidge on all joins , it acts as a lube to help assembly and sets with the heat , only prob it can get tuff to take apart but a sharp twist of said part usually comes free

Mine blows a tiny bit near the shock, I initially used high temp exhaust putty but I'm not using anything now because it was a bitch to get off when I put the jack-up linkage on.

I use silicone sealant. Bathroom stuff tbh. The kind you put in a mastik gun, used it for years on hundreds of car and bike exhausts without problem, cheap too. Just get a big tube of clear stuff for £1
Make sure your springs are actually taught enough to hold it together but dont go overboard on the silicone it'll just make a mess
