My dad just bought a honda rebel 250 custom bike.....Thing is it only runs with the choke on full......If you just touch the throttle it cuts out and it will not start with the choke off.....I took the carb apart and used carb cleaner but its still doing the same thing.......I noticed a long jet with lots of little holes in the side....You can only see through 2 of them......could the others be blocked and causing it not to run.....The bike was sitting for 8 years with fuel in the bowl i cleaned it as much as i can.

The tubes that you mention are emulsion tubes, you need to make sure that all of them are unblocked. Either use a very fine needle or some old fashioned fuse wire. Do the same on the pilot jets and mains. Give the carbs a good cleaning with thinners (avoid the plastic and rubber parts with this) or petrol and an old toothbrush, not your mums, dads or girlfriends tho
