Has anyone tried a bolt on end can from a cbr400rr on the cb400sf version R/S? Do they fit. I see loads of aftermarket cans for the cbr but not cb.

Have asked the same question many a time dude and doesn't seem like anyone's actually done it. But from what I hear there is a difference between the bolt on pattern between the NC23 and NC29. I'm not sure which one it is that is the same as the Super Four. I've asked about the likes of whether the bike would need dyno'd after putting on a CBR 400 end can, but not really sure what folks said. Have been wanting to stick a nice bolt on can on my Super Four for ages though. Cheapest bolt on ones for a CBR400 I've found have been Fuel, which is a British made company. Someone was saying that they had them on their Ducati and they sound awesome and are well made I think. Plus the cheapest of them is about £120 if I remember right.
Not sure if any of this info is of any help to you, but if you do go ahead and get an end can you can let me know if it fits/works etc.

Well there was one on ebay for the nc29, i asked the seller what the measurement was between two of the three bolts and they were the same measurements as my cb (74mm), but the pipe bore on my cb is 50mm whereas it's 61mm (according to the seller) on the cbr? i don't know but maybe he measured the bore inside the can, i was measuring the pipe bore that leads upto the can, though i don't think it would make any difference. Anyway i think the bolt spacing of the holes are the same according to what he said.
I did email "Fuel" about the compatibility between the nc29 and my SFR and they said it's different?

At least you got a reply from them. I think I emailed them and never got anything back. Hmm, why's it so damn difficult to get a race can for a Super Four, I mean it's not like there's a lack of them on the road to warrant a company making some for them. Grr.
Anyhow, stupid Mortgage is going up next month so I'll never be getting anything for my Super Four.

I have a Scorpion bolt-on can on my Version R that came with the bike when I bought it.
Scorpion part number is HA-59, fitment is CBR400 NC29 Gull Arm 1989 - 1996 (off the leaflets that came with it).
Hope that helps!

Ahah, excellent. Thanks for that info alexibrow. Hmm, so I'd reckon then that if one end can for an NC29 fits then any end can designed to bolt onto an NC29 system should fit on the bolt on system of the Super Four. Why couldn't the Makers just say that as well: "Will also fit Super Four version S or R." I mean how hard would that be.

You're a star! sorted. Wouldn't mind a look at your bike with it on if that was possible

If it doesn't fit it still shouldn't be a problem, just cut your flange off and weld on a new one matching the CBR400 exhaust. The only thing you have to check is the ground clearance being it'll be a round can

Exactly same as mine! minus the scorpion canm same topic but page 4. Have you changed the gearing cos they have 45 teech on rear as opposed to 42 on standard sf. What does yours pull, i can only manage about 180 kmh on a straight, and it's screaming. Generally once your in top gear the rev counter seems to coincide with the speed like 6000 is 60mph and so on.
