Hi, my headlight goes dim at tickover or any revs below 2000rpm, over that it's nice and bright. Is the regulator faulty or is this normal?

Very normal and is a good sign of a healthy regulator.

This is very good to know, I always wondered when sitting behind cars at lights and noticing that my light got brighter when reving the bike. Phew!!!

It's normal and fine, but might also be a sign of a battery not holding enough charge. If the batt dies, it can take a reg with it. Keep an eye on it and if cold starting in the morning becomes problematic, get a battery sooner than later.
