Take Off Probs

Can never get a smooth pull away. No matter how I engage the clutch and feed in the power the revs always dip slightly and there's always a jerk. Could this be due to carbs being out of balance or what? Pretty sure it's definitely fuelling as the revs always dip.

I went up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket as felt like I was going to kill the clutch really soon on the stock gearing!

Know what you mean mate, you really have to ride the clutch, but this is slightly diff in that it jerks and the revs drop which made me think either fuelling or out of balance.

Carb pilot screws adjusted incorrectly can give these symptoms.

I set them bang on. Screwed them in until they seated but were not tight and then backed them out 2 turns (standard can).

do you give it a load then back off the throttle, is it on a hard pull away?
mine does it if i done time the clutch rite but i just know how to work it really now so never have to problem, if u pull away normal you can pull with 1800rpm really smooth and no jerks at all
have any spluttering threw the range at all ?

My thoughts too, when my friction plates were fried it used to judder on me just ash pulled off. The bitting point was really far from the bar too so i knew it was well shook.
