3TJ CDI Derestricting

If anyone's interested I can derestrict 3TJ CDI (BB7208) units to make them the same as a Yamaha kit race CDI. Raises the rev limit to 15600rpm and does not require the speed sensor wires to be connected or an m max box. It can increase the power of your bike, The exup still works as it should or if you dont have an exup I can remove all the wires to make it neat & tidy.

Sounds reasonable to me.

What kind of turn around time ?

I'm asking all the questions so other people can have an idea too.

I would say around a weeks time. It depends weather you want your cdi back or an exchange unit. Exchange can be returned in days.

Hi there Bendy3, i have an '88 import, genesis exup 400, it is running on a 1WG CDI. Apparently its restricted off the back of the speedo. I want to get it to UK spec. Is your 3TJ UK spec? I really dont know anything bout all this but if I m gonna get me bike goin then I m gonna have to learn! So anything you can tell me, to make those little grey cells holler in complaint, then I m all ears! The bike goes till it hits 80kph then goes all spluttery an looses power.... i ve also heard there s possibly another restricter in the wheel end of the speedo cable.
