Boxhill - Sunday 14th Feb
As per the other thread. Anyone else fancy escaping valentines day for a couple of hours?
Unless of course it's pissing it down. Don't mind cold but cold+wet is more fun in the pub than freezing in a car park

Can't really as it's our little 'uns birthday party. (2)
(Unless it's really nice in the morning and then I'll be right there!
)
Then when I get home...

Re: Boxhill - Sunday 14th Feb
Just back from around 70kms of wet and slippery Surrey roads to Box Hill and Newlands Corner and back.
Some observations...
400cc of V4 goodness through BT092s on very wet cold roads works well
Am very glad I lowered the rev limit when uploading the HRC ignition map as hit it several times while concentrating more on the greasy road ahead through a misted visor than the revs
I need a pinlock or similar
EDZ thermal leggings and inner gloves are toasty
The outer pockets of my DryStar jacket get very wet
SMX5 boots are neither warm nor waterproof but in fairness they don't pretend to be. My toes were all that got cold and a tiny bit damp (must get some winter boots)
The tea and burger at Rykas was yum
HOW MUCH is super unleaded these days!
My mate, his wife and his daughter (who I popped round to see for a brew on the way home) all now think I've even more insane than before
Saw a VFR1200 at Box Hill (3 other bikes there and just 1 other bike at Newlands. Briefly chatted to a nice chap at Newlands on a VFR750)
Bike is now minging and all my kit is soaked but I enjoyed every minute of being out despite it being wet and cold
