I'm going to take my carbs off so I can do my valve clearances. Whats the best way to store them? It will be for a couple of weeks. Clingfilm, plastic bag, inside or outside(in unheated garage)?

Never had a problem with mine sitting on the bench in the garage for months, just cover and stuff rags in the stacks.

If your carb inlet rubbers are old having them off the bike for a while can sometimes spell death for them.

You can sit them in a warm spot which helps, I also sometimes sit them in a jar of petrol for a day or two before refitting to make sure they're pliable. Or you could buy new ones...

I think I'll stick them in petrol this time. Thanks, I was slightly worried about the inlet rubbers as I've never had the carbs off for more than 24 hours before.
