How much should the fork stick through the top of the top yoke? I assumed as it looks like it's set that there'd be a value in the Haynes. There isn't. Just says make sure they're even.

So how many mil do you lot normally have your forks sticking through the top yoke by?

Forks should be flush with top yoke, if you push them through you will smack your rad with front wheel on heavy breaking.

Thanks Abr! Will set them flush then. Don't like the sound of anything twatting the rad.

I have them set about 5mm through to help turn in (as well as raised rear).

If you're using original bodywork then the front wheel will hit the fairing v-piece well before the radiator.

The proper sized front tyre (120/60) and firm fork springs will also help it not to hit.
