CDI - did the uk have the extra wire or was that the jap ?

CDI - did the uk have the extra wire or was that the jap ?
Started on stripping my UK bike to return back to standard, and i cant remember which CDI came off it.
I have 2, one has an extra red/green (maybe wrong on that) wire. was this for the jap models or for the UK ?
tried both and cant start her.

would have thought the main difference was the top speed restrictor - would that mean an extra wire?
