hi im speedsirens other half and after a total meltdown of the 400 engine and scarce/expensive parts for her washing machine motor im guna wedge a 600fn (same year as her rrn) in it .... (( i hope))

ive done a search for this but can only get whispers of the legendary holly grail but no owners /do'ers.. if im repeating any posts let me know/move it/ whatever but i see the older 23 has been done but thats a fair bit different or so im led to believe.

i will try to take pics n stuff along the way for anyone whos mildly interested and wont even post the swearwords that i already know are on the way ...

engine turned up today and looks ok ish.. measured the mounts and they seem fine but the cooling system is already massively wrong .. good inch and a half wider than the frame and casted into the block so its either angle grinder time and the tig welder and gussets or mr drill time or redesign the thermostat housing which looks the easiest /pro way of doing it.. let you know when i get it bolted on its mounts.. .. we will see... electrics same..carbs same - we will see..

all this will be at sensible costs so i hope i can be either of help or at least humour for you all and .. the weekend really does start here in the words of mr tong. ;)

wish me well and post soon ... ta

Electrics will be fine I think you just need to change the plug on the neutral switch. Run a remote stat the best thing to do would be bore a hole in the back of the stat housing and weld a pipe to it with a blank plate on the out side.
Your carb spacing will be all wrong, best you go and get the right carbs for your engine and Hornet 600 bell mouth plates to go on to the airbox rubbers.
Oh and a big pack of fiber discs for your grinder.

Good Luck
