has anyone used this on major repairs on fairings etc

Yes mate its great stuff. No more plastic welds lol.
I repaired my fairings with it and it has held up no problems.
Just v out the cracks, put a bit of tape under it and fill the v with powder, then just drip the liquid into the powder until its saturated and leave to dry for a couple of hours.
Stinks like hell though so don't do it in the kitchen, lol.

I squeeze the pipet and dunk it in the plastex granuals, then put it in the joint.

I got the small kit just to try it out but was able to fix lots of breaks/cracks with it as it goes a long way if you are careful, dont make the v too wide or you will need too much powder.

As evilchicken says you can use the pipet to put the powder into the v.

But dont try the way plastex suggest: Ie. Dropping liquid into the powder then sucking up the wet blob, as the pipet just gets blocked up and is then useless. Then you lose powder and liquid too. I think its their way of boosting sales. I tried it so i know its balls.

I just pushed the powder into the v with a stanley blade. . simple.

Edit ; Make sure everything is clean and dry, Ie. panel wipe or thinners or such like and don't forget to tape up the back of the repair or the powder and liquid will just run out all over the show.

Yeah i've used it with ok results and as has been said put the powder in the crack and then use the liquid. I even made a couple of lugs using the moulding bar that i got with the pack. Its still holding together about 12 months later
