My bike is still currently in bits, having a re-spray etc and imn currently in the process of cleaning out the carbs.

Anyway, when removing the airbox i noticed the ram air pipes wern't there :S

The ram air ducts from the front of the nose cone to the frame are there, and there is 2 plastic pipes coming out of the airbox. However, they arn't long enough to reach the cut out holes in the frame (just behind the headstock, clearly visible when airbox is removed).

I'm having trouble sourcing these pipes though...

Anyone know where i can get any?

Or have you got any GF racing? I'll throw up some pics in a bit to help explain my problem better if anyone needs?

cheers guys.

I'm sure Graeme will have them but they won't make any difference, the air ducts as standard are just a gimmick, not really ram-air.

Oh.... well seems a stupid gimmick really.

This is going to sound stupid but how can't it work? The air goes through the duct, into these other pipes and into the airbox...... or am i missing some other detail in how ram air works????

Thanks though mate, i'll drop greame an e-mail now :D

ok, to try and make a little more sense i found this.

Thats a blown up parts list of aircleane items for my bike. I already have pipes 9 and 14 (well 9 is one half and 14 is the other lol). Yet it dosn't show any extra pipes.... those ones will not reach the cut out holes in the frame

as you sit on the bike...
there are 2 pipes that come out the TOP end of the air box that slot in to the frame.. THESE are your true "ram air" pipes.
items 6,20 & 22 left and right

the other pipes that "look" like ram air are plastic dusts on the out side of the bike. these are fake and were only put in place to look good..
item 4 left and right

That must be a different model NC23 or an NC29 aribox.

Mine has those pipes coming out of the bottom of the airbox, they go into the frame.... well should, if i wasn't missing 2 sections of pipe lol.

Yeah that's an NC29 airbox.

There should be two pipes next to each other at the front of the airbox that slot into two holes on the inside of the frame near the headstock.
You have the pipes but they don't reach the holes?
