I am not sure which part commands rpms but it should be the CDI, that restricts the bike to 14500rpms, can it be derestricted, and in ebay, when i see derestricted CDI, what this mean? i know about the restriction in the max speed and how to remove it, but also want to mod the max rpms if possible, if not i will satisfy with the derestricting of the speed clock

get a uk spec cdi,
part number 21119-1332 sticker is blue with an "M" on it
(some say 21119-1331 also works, but i cant confirm this 100%)
this doesnt know about the 180kph speed restriction so eliminates that and also increases the max revs to 14,900
H model CDI's seem to have higher rev limits .. but maybe its clock error. (they seem to go to 15,200rpm ish) .. getting one to work on an L is a grey area though, and of course they still restrict t 180kph without a modified speedo/Mmax box/mph/kph converter.

yes, i know that i can replace the CDI, but i ask can it be programed, or some resistor puted somewhere inside, to make for example 16 000, to be moded to rev without limit, because i sow in ebay "Derestricted CDI" wich mean that some mod is done to de cdi

that the £65 made in china copies ?
far as i know they are just copy cdi's without the speed restrictor in them.. essentially just a uk spec "de-restricted cdi"
there are programmable ignition systems out there for ZXR's, i heard that bdk can mod the box to give a higher rev limit, but without fully tuning the engine, all you'll do is smack the valves about and/or kill the bigends/crank if you go much over 15,500 anyway. This being what the SP's and kitted bikes went to.

Ive got a CDI with the numbers 21119-1331 L its restricted. The only one that isnt is the 1332 version both of which are on blue and silver stickers. Derestricting the CDI ? anything is possible but finding someone to do it cheaper than a £30 UK spec cdi probably not.

Aye, as Zimm sez, bdk do mod them. I have one that performs as a sp box.
Chris at dynopro, as mentioned, has programable boxes for most bikes, with very good results ive heard. he will set your bike up on his dyno to suit as part of the service. Ive had bits and bobs done there, and his ignition stuff is on my list! cant fault the service and results, top guys.
